JFC operates serial competitions, offering cash compensation for placing the works in the public domain. Each series typically ends when the winner refuses the purse. Teams meet at awards ceremonies and may remix in the next round. The ultimate winner will own the IP created in the last round and start a company.

We aim to sustainably and affordably enhance living. To do this, JFC will focus on transformational change by crossing exceptionally challenging "Valleys of Death".
